HOW LONG DOES THE STRATEGY SESSION TAKE?
A 1:1 Strategy Session with me is included in both my Resume Success and VIP Transformation packages. The Strategy Session averages between 45 and 75 minutes. The amount of time varies depending on the level of your current and target roles, extent of your experience, and overall complexity of the project.

HOW MUCH TIME DO YOU SPEND ON MY RESUME?
Resumes are like putting a huge puzzle together – it takes time and all the pieces are essential to get to the finished product. Since each client’s situation is unique and no two resumes, LinkedIn profiles, and cover letters I create are alike, I dedicate on average 15-20 hours on each project. This includes prep work, consulting, research, strategizing, and editing with the goal to make you stand out to decision makers and recruiters. Divide my service prices by the number of hours that goes into the resume process, you’ll see I charge roughly $60 per hour, which is a reasonable rate for the expertise, insight, and results I provide.

HOW DO YOU CAPTURE MY INFORMATION?
Because of my background in recruiting and HR, along with sitting on countless interview panels, I know exactly what information needs to be included in your resume to make you stand out. Through pointed, leading questions specific to your goals and experience, I elicit your career story, draw out your success and accomplishments, as well as showcase your personality, voice, and how you will fit into a company’s culture. Many clients tell me that during interviews, hiring managers have commented that my resumes are very thorough and a lot of their questions had already been answered on the resume.

DO YOU OFFER IN-PERSON APPOINTMENT?
Not at this time. As a textbook introvert, I have found over the years, that the entire process is much more time effective over the phone, email or via Zoom. (And I never have to worry about myself or clients getting lost or stuck in traffic).

WHAT IF I CAN'T AFFORD YOUR SERVICES? DO YOU OFFER DISCOUNTS, PAYMENT PLANS, OR CAN I PAY WHEN MY RESUME IS FINISHED?
I understand that with the pandemic and uncertainty about the economy, not everyone can afford to hire a quality resume writer. I encourage you to think of my services as an upfront investment that can provide a strong return. Many of my clients receive multiple interview requests within a week of submitting their resumes and many accept offers at their target companies within 4-6 weeks. (view reviews here)

I do offer installment payment plans and you can view these options here. If you absolutely cannot afford to pay, check out the resources in my blog and review my resume samples. While it can be time consuming and may not be as effective as what you’ll get from SoCalResumes’ services, it will be much better than sacrificing cost for quality (aka using a $99 resume mill).

HOW AND WHEN DO I PAY?
After you click on the Buy Now button, you'll be taken to my payment processing page. You can pay with Visa, MasterCard, American Express, or any other major credit card. Because of the significant time investment on my end, I require upfront payment in full (or you can opt for a payment installment option on select services at checkout).

DO YOU WRITE FEDERAL RESUMES? DO YOU WRITE MILITARY TO CIVILIAN TRANSITION RESUMES?

At this time, I do not write Federal resumes for USA Jobs applications but I’m happy to recommend a few talented writers that specialize in federal style resumes (just send me a quick message).

WILL MY RESUME BE FORMATTED FOR APPLICANT TRACKING SYSTEMS (ATS)?
Absolutely. The resumes I create are formatted to move past ATS systems as well as laid out in a visually impactful style that hiring managers and recruiters prefer.

WHEN CAN I EXPECT TO RECEIVE MY NEW RESUME?
Typically, my turnaround time is 7 to 10 business days from either the Strategy Session or completion of the Strategy Questionnaire.

DO YOU OFFER SAME DAY OR RUSH SERVICES?
I do not accept same day or rush orders at this time. Writing a stand-out resume takes time – every word, phrase, and strategy is tailored to your specific situation and target role.

WILL YOU PERSONALLY BE WRITING MY RESUME OR WILL MY PROJECT BE OUTSOURCES TO OTHER WRITERS?
I do not outsource and work one-on-one with each client. My clients have access to me via phone, text, email, and LinkedIn messaging throughout the process and their job search.

CAN YOU STILL HELP ME WITH MY RESUME AND CAREER DOCUMENTS IF I DON'T LIVE IN SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA?
Yes, of course! While the SoCal job market is my genius zone, I do work with clients looking to either move out of California or relocate to California.
